Authors Guidelines


Encyclopaideia is an international peer reviewed journal, dedicated to the phenomenological interpretation and analysis in Education. It solicits a critical debate from a multidisciplinary point of view.


Encyclopaideia welcomes articles addressing conceptual, theoretical, methodological, empirical (mainly in qualitative research), ethical issues in education and book reviews.

Encyclopaideia encourages articles from both academic and practitioners in education, particularly teachers.

Original, unpublished manuscripts, that are not under consideration elsewhere, are welcome.


Articles

Encyclopaideia accepts submission, both in Italian and English. Contributions in English may be either translated into Italian or published in the original language.

Articles should normally be no longer than 7.000 words, including endnotes and references. Shorter articles are welcome and longer ones may be considered. Every article should be submitted with a 150 words abstract and without the author(s) name to facilitate the review process. English articles version should have a 700 words supplementary abstract that will be translated into Italian.

Please, prepare a title page that includes article’s title,  author(s) name and affiliation, 5 keywords, biographical notes (50 words), contact information of the corresponding author, with email address, eventually acknowledgements if relevant.

Authors should send a copy of all the material requested (plus an identical version by email in .doc or .rtf format), typed in double spacing throughout, to:

Book reviews

Book reviews should be no longer than 1.800 words, and be sent with author(s) name, reference, number of pages only in electronic format to:

encyclopaideia@encyclopaideia.it.

Originally manuscripts will not be returned to contributors.


References

Submissions must follow the styles outlined in the Publication Manual (V ed.) dell’American Psychological Association (2001, 5th edition).


Examples:

Books: Dewey, J. (1943). The School and Society. Chicago: The University of Chicago Press.

Articles: Giorgi, A. (2002). The question of validity in qualitative research. Journal of Phenomenological Psychology, 33, 1-18.


Articles which do not follow these guidelines will be not considered.
